Classic mode
Classic mode is the cleanest version of X and O. You can slow down, read the board, and focus on blocking forks, controlling corners, and setting traps.
Timed 3:00 mode
Timed mode gives each player a three-minute clock per board. It rewards pattern recognition and calm decision-making under pressure.
Which should you pick?
If you are still learning, start classic. If you already see threats quickly and enjoy pressure, timed mode adds a sharper edge.
Draw replays
In timed games, drawn boards reset both clocks to three minutes, keeping the same pot active for the replay.
