1. Center control
The center touches the most winning lines. Taking it early often gives you more ways to attack and defend.
2. Corner pressure
Corners can create diagonal threats and force awkward responses. If the center is gone, corners are usually stronger than edges.
3. Fork creation
A fork creates two winning threats at once. The best X and O players look one move ahead to create or prevent these positions.
4. Forced blocks
Sometimes the strongest move is not an immediate win, but a move that forces your opponent to block while you build the next threat.
5. Draw discipline
When neither player can force a win, protect the draw. On clashXO, a draw starts a fresh board with the same pot, so patience matters.
